Heart-TV is a media technology project of One Heart One Voice. The project helps Churches by:
- Developing live broadcast facilities for services and events
- Developing a range of community based web TV channels
- Developing web-based applications that can support Church activities
- Developing the use of mobile technologies within Church communities
- Providing case-studies relating to a range of Church technology projects
This project focuses on exploring how churches within One Heart One Voice can connect together using powerful web-based technologies. Heart-TV is part of the South Yorkshire Digital Region. The Digital Region is a new broadband network being installed right across South Yorkshire that will offer the increased upload speeds needed for video broadcasting.
On Saturday 2nd May 1998 a small group of ministers in Doncaster met together and committed themselves to pray regularly for the town. Initially the group consisted of just 8 ministers from 8 denominations. On Wednesday 13th May 1998 at 7.00am the group met for the first time to pray for Doncaster. From small beginnings that group grew and became known as the Doncaster Ministers Prayer Fellowship, which continues to meet and pray together.
